What do you think is the hardest ever game to finish? From my experience i would say it must be a game from the 16 Bit era or earlier.  I have my own thoughts on the game, but would like to hear what others have to say.

Yep, the older games were much harder to complete.  I have countless Atari ST games that I never got to the end of without cheat codes.  The level of difficulty was insane!

Cybernoid was probably the toughest - I never came close to finishing that one.

Some of the older games were a nightmare to finish. Some of the stuff now i far too easy and many come with infinite continues. Don't think i've tried Cybernoid.

Cybernoid was a side scrolling shooter for the ST.  You had to fly from room to room avoiding traps and enemy ships.  The average life expectancy was about 30 seconds!

Some of those ST games are a nightmare to play let alone finish.

Dr Doom's Revenge was definately unplayable.  Licenced from Marvel comics it could have been great but the jerky animation a sluggish controls rendered it pap.

Some were great though: The port of Pang was and still is great and the Bitmap Bros games were always first class.
