The console i am nominating may not be the worst ever made but, for me was the biggest dissapointment. It is the Game Boy Advance . I remember buying it with one of my all time favourite games Final Fight . Took it home and the screen was barely visible even under a spotlight. I was so pissed off i flogged it on eBay within a week.

A handheld which may really be the worst for different reasons is the Atari Lynx. A paltry battery life whih meant it had to reall be played on a mains charger. Also the far and few berween decnet games made this an expensive mistake at the time. These days though it and the games can be picked up cheap, so for collectors it is not such a bad buy.

3DO imo is/was utter shite, marketed poorly, over expenisive and with the odd exception of a decent port (Road Rash) and the odd exclusive it was a pointless machine (though YES, I do own one lol ........ didnt pay $699 for it mind)

Got my 3DO for under a tenner in a recycle shop. Road Rash is a classic. There are a few great titles but too many duds.

mine has to be the bandai playdia , utter crap console. the games are just manga movies , not proper games . gba was crap as well , the most annoying part was that the games had a 10 minute intro before you started playing.

Atari Jaguar. I paid £249 for one back in late '94, and the games in those days were very expensive. It did have some of decent games - Doom, Tempest 2000, AVP and Iron Soldier, but in July '95 the Sega Saturn was launched in the UK and I sold my Jag to fund a console that didn't look like it was 16-bit.

For me that would be the Nintendo64 without a doubt. Blurry, headache inducing graphics, franchises milked to death (as with the Wii!), crappy hardware, terrible Pal conversions and those ridiculous, expensive cartridges. Oh and all those horrible American games on the system, the shame!

The '64 had some gaming treasures ... Sin and Punishment, Zelda ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Smash Bros. and as such is a relevent machine because of these

The Jag certainly didn't live up to expectations.  I got mine new for £50 in Beatties in about '96 when the system was all but dead.  New games were dirt cheap so I got my money's worth.

Some of it's best games were published after Atari went bankrupt and proved it was a decent system in the hands of the few people that could program for it (Skyhammer, Battlesphere etc).

Of the systems i have, i would say the Philips CDI has very few highlights....almost none in fact. Dragons Lair/Space Ace where good versions and Burn Cycle is pretty good but im struggling to think of any others....

Atari Jaguar in Mind. Their idea of home videogame was still in the pre-NES era. They still think they could make a bunch of random characters, show them off and people would buy it. The system is powerfull, and has lots of great titles.

But when you run a commercial practically downsizing the competition your asking for fail. Like remember the Nights Sega Saturn " can your system fly? " commercial. I know their is something else more stupider then the AJag, but I don't want to say it, since it was a great idea for a system.
